Carol R. Hansen

Carol was born on December 25th, 1917. Carol's father was Joseph Hansen and her mother was Ida Ann Moran. Her paternal grandparents were Jens C. Hansen and Marie Christine Jessen. She had a sister named Helen. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 73 on February 28th, 1991.

General Notes
- Carol died Thursday, at a hospital in Houston, Texas. She taught in several one room school houses in the Hinckley and Sandstone area, and taught the 5th and 6th grades in Duluth. She was born in Hinckley and went to grade school at District 39, west of Friesland and graduated from Sandstone High School in 1935. She received her bachelors degree in elementary education and social studies from the University of Minnesota at the Duluth branch. Her master's equivalency was achieved in Superior, Wisconsin.
  She was a member of the Bella Vista Baptist Church, the Benton County Historical Society, the Bella Vista Historical Society, the VFW Auxiliary, member of the National Association of Retired Federal Empolyees, AARP, member of the Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, the retired Teachers Associations of Duluth and Benton County. She was also a member of the for First Presbyterian Church of Friesland and a charter member of the Evergreen Cemetery Society, and a member of the Salvation Army.
  She leaves her husband, four nephews, two nieces and many friends to miss her.
  She was buried in the Foster Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas.
