Amy was born on October 21st, 1870 in Walcot, Bath. Amy's father was Hugh Allen Kent and her mother was Eliza Gapper. Her paternal grandfather was Richard Kent and her paternal grandmother is Charlotte Horner. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Frank and Frances. She was the youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 86 in 1956.
