Harriet was born in August 1826 in Boldre.  Harriet's father is James Keeping and her mother was Elizabeth Hodder.  Her paternal grandparents are James Keeping and Jane Lancaster. She had two brothers and a sister, named George, Henry and Eliza.  She was the third oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 85 on May 16th, 1912 in Cadnam.
