George_II was born on July 19th, 1890 in Tatoi,Near Athens,Greece.  George_II's father was Constantine_I Oldenburg and his mother was Sophie of_Prussia.  His paternal grandparents were William George_I of_the_Hellenes Oldenburg and Olga Constantinovna; his maternal grandparents were Frederick_III and Victoria Adelaide Mary.  He was the oldest of six children.  He had four brothers and a sister, named Alexander_I, Paul_I, Child_6, Child_5 and Helen of_Greece.  He died at the age of 56 on April 1st, 1947 in Athens,Greece.  His burial was in Tatoi,Near Athens,Greece.
