Constantine_I was born on August 2nd, 1868 in Athens,Greece.  Constantine_I's father was William George_I of_the_Hellenes Oldenburg and his mother was Olga Constantinovna.  His paternal grandparents were Christian_IX and Louise of_Hesse-Cassel; his maternal grandparents were Constantine Nikolaievitch of_Russia and Elizabeth Alexandra of_Saxe-.  He was the oldest of eight children.  He had four brothers and three sisters, named George, Nicholas of_Greece, Andrew of_Greece, Christopher, Alexandra of_Greece, Mary and Olga.  He died at the age of 54 on January 11th, 1923 in Palermo,Italy.  His burial was in November 1936 in Tatoi,Near Athens,Greece.
