Olav_V was born on July 2nd, 1903 in Appleton House,Sandringham,Norfolk,England.  Olav_V's father was Charles Haakon_VII and his mother was Maude Charlotte Mary.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick_VIII and Louise of_Sweden; his maternal grandparents were Edward_VII Wettin and Alexandra of_Denmark "Alix".  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 87 on January 17th, 1991 in Norway.
