Mary was born on October 10th, 1344 in Waltham,Near Winchester.  Mary's father was Edward_III and her mother was Philippa of_Hainault.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward_II and Isabella of_France; her maternal grandfather was William of_Hainault.  She was the nineth of twelve children.  She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Edward, William of_Hatfield, Lionel of_Antwerp, John of_Gaunt, Edmund of_Langley, William of_Windsor, Thomas of_Woodstock, Isabella, Joan (Joanna), Blanche and Margaret.
