Edward was born on June 15th, 1330 in Woodstock,Oxfordshire,England.  Edward's father was Edward_III and his mother was Philippa of_Hainault.  His paternal grandparents were Edward_II and Isabella of_France; his maternal grandfather was William of_Hainault.  He was the oldest of twelve children.  He had six brothers and five sisters, named William of_Hatfield, Lionel of_Antwerp, John of_Gaunt, Edmund of_Langley, William of_Windsor, Thomas of_Woodstock, Isabella, Joan (Joanna), Blanche, Mary and Margaret.  He died at the age of 45 on June 8th, 1376 in Westminster,Palace,London,England.  His burial was in Canterbury,Cathedral,London,England.
