Ingolf was born in 1940.  Ingolf's father was Knud and his mother is Caroline Mathilde.  His paternal grandparents were Christian_X and Alexandrine of_Mecklenburg- Schwerin; his maternal grandparents were Harold and Helene of_Schleswig- Holstein.  He is the second of three children.  He has a brother and a sister, named Christian and Elizabeth.
