Edgar was born in 1074.  Edgar's father was Malcolm_III Canmore and his mother was St_Margaret.  His paternal grandparents were Duncan_I and Sybil; his maternal grandparents were Edward Athling and Agatha.  He was the oldest of five children.  He had two brothers and two sisters, named Alexander_I the_Fierce, David_I the_Saint, Matilda (Edith) of_Scotland and Mary of_Scotland.  He had a half-brother named Duncan_II May-Nov.  He died at the age of 33 in 1107.
