St_Margaret's father was Edward Athling and her mother was Agatha.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund_II Ironside and Ealdgyth; her maternal grandfather was Stephen_I.  She was the oldest of three children.  She had a brother and a sister, named Edgar and Christina.  She died in 1093.
