David_I the_Saint was born in 1080.  David_I the_Saint's father was Malcolm_III Canmore and his mother was St_Margaret.  His paternal grandparents were Duncan_I and Sybil; his maternal grandparents were Edward Athling and Agatha.  He was the third of five children.  He had two brothers and two sisters, named Edgar, Alexander_I the_Fierce, Matilda (Edith) of_Scotland and Mary of_Scotland.  He had a half-brother named Duncan_II May-Nov.  He died at the age of 73 in 1153.
