Charles_IX was born on June 27th, 1550 in St. Germain-,en-Laye,France.  Charles_IX's father was Henry_II and his mother was Catherine of_Florence de_Medici.  His paternal grandparents were Francis_I and Claude of_France.  He was the second of three children.  He had two brothers named Francis_II and Henry_III.  He died at the age of 23 on May 30th, 1574 in Vincennes,France.  His burial was in St. Denis,France.
