Oleta was born on July 23rd, 1883.  Oleta's father was Joseph W Shepard and her mother was Annie Laura Anderson.  Her paternal grandparents were Hartley W Shepard and Susanna A Smith. She had a brother and three sisters, named Dora, Ruby, Wilelma and Grace.  She died at the age of 73 on September 20th, 1956.
