James Shepard

James was born in 1866.  James' father was Hartley W Shepard and his mother was Susanna A Smith.  His maternal grandparents were Joseph H Smith and Catherine Sheppard. He had two brothers and nine sisters, named Isaiah, Joseph, Eliza, Catharine, Nancy, Savilla, Sarah, Minerva, Docia, Mary and Margaret.  He was the third youngest of the twelve children.
