Mary was born in 1886 in Wombwell, Yorkshire, England.  Mary's father was Joseph Wilson and her mother was Anne Sanderson.  Her paternal grandparents were William Wilson and Caroline Massey; her maternal grandparents were Ephraim Sanderson and Sarah Morris.  She had eight brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Robert, Ephrim, Richard, Thomas, Robert, Edward, William, Elizabeth, Caroline, Sarah, Violet and Edith.  She died at the age of 8 in 1894 in Hawk Run, PA.1
