Isabella was born on October 14th, 1842.  Isabella's father was Alexander Tolmie and her mother was Elizabeth Gollan.  Her paternal grandparents were James Tolmie and Jane Mackenzie; her maternal grandparents were Alexander Gollan and Ann Maclean. She had a brother and a sister, named Alexander and Jane.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 68 on April 28th, 1911.
