Maria was born in November 1955.  Maria's father is Sargent Shriver and her mother is Eunice Mary Kennedy.  Her maternal grandparents were Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald.  She has four brothers named Robert, Timothy, Mark and Anthony.  She is the second oldest of the five children.
