Cygnus was born in 1889.  Cygnus' father was Phineas Nigellus Black and his mother was Ursula Flint (Black).  His paternal grandparents were Black and (Black).  He was the youngest of five children.  He had three brothers and a sister, named Sirius, Phineas, Arcturus and Belvina.  He died at the age of 54 in 1943.

Cygnus and Violetta were married (further details are not known). They had two sons and two daughters, named Pollux, Cassiopeia, Marius and Dorea.

Pollux was born in 1912.  He died at the age of 78 in 1990.

Female Cassiopeia Black
Cassiopeia was born in 1915.  She died at the age of 77 in 1992.

Male Marius Black

Female Dorea Black (Potter)
Dorea was born in 1920.  She died at the age of 57 in 1977.
