Cathrin was born on December 7th, 1732.  Cathrin's father was Johann Jost Helsper and her mother was Anna Gertrud Frensch.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named Johann Christ, Joan Jacob, Joann Henrich, Joann Adam, Johann Martin, Anna Cath, Anna Maria and Anna Maria.  She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Joan Jost, Johannes Thones, Joannes and Eva.
