William Stanley Merrett

William Stanley was born in March 1894 in Landough, Glamorgan. William Stanley's father was Henry Merrett and his mother was Elizabeth Ann Jones. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Merrett and Ann Williams; his maternal grandparents are George Jones and Elizabeth Jones. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Henry, George, Thomas, Jack, Annie, Lilly, Annie, Laura, Celia and Rachel. He is the eighth oldest of the eleven children.
