Bernice was born on March 10th, 1918.  Bernice's father was Frank Acel Beardin and her mother was Mary Alice Williamson (Beardin). She had four brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Al, John, Winnie, Fern, Katie and Jeanie.  She is the third oldest of the eight children.
