Sarah was born on February 14th, 1896. Sarah 's father was Simon Petrus van Blerck and her mother was Maria Wilhelmina Joubert. Her paternal grandparents were Siemon (Paatjie) Petrus van Blerck and Jacomina Hendrina Louw. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Simon, Jan, Jacomina, Maria, van Blerk, Rachel and Hester. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 48 on October 13th, 1944.
