Maria (Ivy) Magdalena van Blerk

Maria, known as Ivy, was born on April 1st, 1901. Ivy's father was Nicolaas Johannes (NJ) van Blerk and her mother was Barbara Johanna Colijn. Her paternal grandparents were Nicolaas Johannes van Blerk and Maria Magdalena Auret. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Hugh, Lambert , Leslie, Johanna, Hester, Mary and Helen. She was the third oldest of the eight children.
