Male John Walmsley

John was born on August 29th, 1830 in Preston, Lancashire, England.1   John's father was James Walmsley and his mother was Mary Cleaver.  His paternal grandparents were John Walmsley and Isabella Busby. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Joseph, William, James, Jane, Isabella, Margaret, Nancy, Hannah, Ann and Mary.  He died about 1865.

John and Ellen were married in a religious ceremony in June 1851 in Preston, Lancashire, England.2   They had five sons named Thomas, Louis, William, Arthur and Leonard.
