William Newby

William was born on March 25th, 1666 in Houghton le Spring, Durham, England.¹ William's father was John Newby and his mother is Margaret Appleby. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Newby and Mary Rutter; his maternal grandparents are Richard Appleby and Anne Christopher. He had four brothers and a sister, named John, Thomas, Robert, Matthew and Alice. He died at the age of 1 in August 1667.¹
