Male John Newby

John's baptism took place on March 7th, 1631 in Pittington, Durham, England.1   John's father was Nicholas Newby and his mother was Mary Rutter.  His paternal grandparents are Ralph Newby and Jaine Couper; his maternal grandfather was John Rutter.  He was an only child.  He died in May 1702 in Garth Parish, Durham, England.  His burial was on May 16th, 1702 in Houghton le Spring, Durham, England.1 1 

John's first family with Jane Robinson

John and Jane were married in a religious ceremony on February 8th, 1655 in Dalton le Dale, Easington, Durham, England.1 


John's second family with Margaret Appleby

John and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on May 2nd, 1657 in Pittington Hall, Pittington, Durham, England.1   They had five sons and a daughter, named John, Thomas, William, Robert, Matthew and Alice.
