Male John Illsley

John was born in 1795 in Church Gresley, Derbyshire, England.1   John's father was Henry Illsley and his mother was Elizabeth Bath.  His maternal grandparents were William Bath and Jane Aney \ Adey. He had six brothers and a sister, named George, Henry, William, Gilbert, Robert, Robert and Elizabeth.  He is the seventh oldest of the eight children.

John's first family with Hannah Howard

John and Hannah were married in a religious ceremony on May 6th, 1818 in Walton on Trent, Burton on Trent, Derbyshire/Staffordshire, England.2   They have a daughter named Elizabeth.


John's second family with Elizabeth Bouchley

John and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on February 3rd, 1841 in Church Gresley, Derbyshire, England.  They had two sons and a daughter, named William, John and Mary Ann.
