Male Gilbert Illsley

Gilbert was born on October 5th, 1817 in Parish Church, Blackfordby, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire/Derbyshire, England.1   Gilbert's father was Gilbert Illsley and his mother was Hannah Oldner.  His paternal grandparents were Henry Illsley and Elizabeth Bath. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Gilbert, William, Elizabeth, Catherine, Maria and Mary.  He was the third oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 72 in 1889 in St John's, Newhall, Derbyshire, England.2

Gilbert and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on December 11th, 1838 in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, England.2  They had three sons and six daughters, named Wright, James, Gilbert, Ann, Edith, Harriet, Clara, Elizabeth and Margaret Harriet.
