Rachael was born on January 25th, 1837.  Rachael's father was William Ward and her mother was Sarah Ayers.  Her paternal grandparents were John Ward and Rachel Vernon. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Ebenezer, Elihu, William, John, Samuel, James, Sally, Mary, Elizabeth, Martha and TheoDocia.  She was the youngest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 34 on August 8th, 1871.
