Elizabeth was born on January 12th, 1818.  Elizabeth's father was William Ward and her mother was Sarah Ayers.  Her paternal grandparents were John Ward and Rachel Vernon. She had six brothers and five sisters, named Ebenezer, Elihu, William, John, Samuel, James, Sally, Mary, Martha, TheoDocia and Rachael.  She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  She died at the age of 77 on July 24th, 1895.
