Thomas was born in 1755.  Thomas' father was William Adams and his mother was Mary Baker Copenhaver.  His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Adams and Agnes Ezell. He had six brothers and a sister, named William, Nipper, Jesse, George, Mose, Stephen, Sarah and John.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 55 in 1810.
