Maria was born on June 8th, 1873 in Tigroney, Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland.1 Maria's father was Denis KENNY and her mother was Mary MALONE. Her paternal grandparents were Richard KENNY and Mary CAHILL; her maternal grandparents are Joseph MALONE and Catherine MALLICK. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Bartholomew Valentine, Joseph, Denis Joseph, John, James, Catherine, Anna and Mary. She was the oldest of the ten children.General Notes
1911 census shows a daughter Maria born to Denis abt 1874 with her husband William, born abt 1872, with two chilren, Bridget, abt 1904 and Denis, abt. 1907. This would put Denis wife too young to have birthed Maria. Maria and William were married for 10 years. 1911 census showed Maria having 4 chilren, 2 alive. Was Denis married before Mary? It did state in 1911, Denis had 9 children born
