Agnes Pauline JANDA 
Agnes Pauline was born on April 15th, 1897 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Agnes Pauline's father was Cyril JANDA and her mother was Pauline MARTINEK. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas JANDA and Marianna SEDLACEK; her maternal grandfather is Joseph MARTINEK. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Cyril, Charles Clement, Cyrill, Antonia (Tony), Mary, Celia, Valentine and Clara E.. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 51 on January 8th, 1949.General Notes

I asked my mother how Grandma B (Agnes) met Grandpa B ( Henry Brinkman) since he was so Baptist, and the Janda's were so Catholic. Apparently, Cyrill needed a trombone player for the band, and found Henry, who played valve trombone (not slide) - so, that's the name of that tune. Both families were there for the railroad, Grandpa B's family having moved to Plattsmouth from Pekin, near Peoria, Illinois, and he worked on refridgerator cars. Grandpa B's father was crushed and killed between two railroad cars; my daddy was hit my a train in 1934;
