Thomas was born on February 1st, 1699.  Thomas' father was Franciscus Exton and his mother was Ann.  His paternal grandparents were Thome Exton and Jana. He had four sisters named Ann, Maria, Elizabetha and Jana.  He was the third oldest of the five children.
