Maria Jose's father was Eduardo Antonio Pinheiro Falcão and her mother was Cecília Breves Falcão. Her maternal grandparents were Joaquim José de souza Breves (Filho) and Justina Bello de Souza Breves. She has three brothers and six sisters, named Egberto, Edgard Jose, Antonio Eduardo, Maria da Luz, Carmem Rita, Maria Eulália, Adelaide, Justina and Celia Maria.-
