Michael Heaton was born on October 10th, 1848 in Haworth, W. Yorkshire.1   Michael Heaton's father was Harriet Robinson and his mother was Hartley Merrall.  His maternal grandparents were Hartley Merrall and Lydia (Molly) Greenwood. He had three brothers and five sisters, named George Hartley, William Edwin, Arthur Gardiner, Selina, Juliet, Clara, Mary Louise and Emily Jane.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died  due to Delirium tremens and Syncope (fainting) or Lyncope?(Pleural bronchitis?) at the age of 46 on November 23rd, 1894 in 7 Lime Street, Haworth, W. Yorkshire.  He was buried on November 26th, 1894 in Haworth Cemetery, Section D, Plot number 35.2 3
