George Mouat

1841 Census Alexander & Janet Mouat

George was born in 1840 in Stirling, Scotland.¹ George's father was Alexander Mouat and his mother was Janet Cunningham Sommers. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Mouat and Jean Grey; his maternal grandparents were Rev John Sommers and Janet McDonald. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Archibald, John, Alexander, Eliza, Euphemia, Ina, Mary, Margaret and Janet. He was the sixth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 67 in 1907.
