Mary was born in 1803.  Mary's father was Allan MacQuarie and her mother was Sarah (Marian) MacArthur.  Her paternal grandparents are Alexander MacQuarie and Marion MacArthur.  She had two brothers and three sisters, named Lachlan, John, Margaret, Anne and Catherine.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 83 on February 6th, 1886.
