Maggie was born in 1889.  Maggie's father is Peter MacKenzie and her mother is Elizabeth Banks.  Her paternal grandparents are Peter MacKenzie and Jane Begg; her maternal grandparents are Alexander Banks and Elizabeth Banks.  She had a brother and three sisters, named Peter, Elizabeth, Jane and Alexandrina.  She is the fourth oldest of the five children.
