Janet was born in 1890.  Janet's father is Donald Manson and her mother is Isabella Oman.  Her paternal grandparents are William Manson and Maria MacKay; her maternal grandparents are Nicholas Oman and Isabella McAdie.  She had six brothers and four sisters, named William, Nicholas, Donald, George, William, James, Isabella, Maria, May and Mary.
