Anne was born in 1808. Anne's father was Allan MacQuarie and her mother was Sarah (Marian) MacArthur.  Her paternal grandparents are Alexander MacQuarie and Marion MacArthur.  She had two brothers and three sisters, named Lachlan, John, Margaret, Mary and Catherine.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 82 in 1890.
