Flora was born in 1883.  Flora's father was Malcolm MacDonald and her mother was Margaret McKinnon.  Her paternal grandparents were Archibald MacDonald and Flora Kennedy; her maternal grandparents were Hugh McKinnon and Margaret MacColl.  She had four brothers and three sisters, named Archibald, Hugh, Malcolm, Allan, Flora, Maggie and Maryann.  She was the seventh oldest of the eight children.  She had a half-sister named Betsy.  She died due to natural causes or old age.
