Margaret was born in 1907.  Margaret's father was Robert McKenzie Campbell and her mother was Barbara Manson.  Her paternal grandparents were John Campbell and Margaret MacKenzie; her maternal grandparents were David Manson and Janet Mowat.  She had three brothers and a sister, named John, David, Robert and Jessie.  She was the youngest of the five children.
