Josefa was born in 1858.1   Josefa's father was Jan Kirchner and her mother was Marie Fialová.  Her paternal grandparents were Karel Kirchner and Rosalia Bukáčková. She had two sisters named Marie and Anna.  She was the oldest of the three children.
