Steijntje was born in 1757 in Almkerk en Emmikhoven and her baptism took place there on March 13th, 1757.1   Her godmother was Aantje Gerritsdr van Dijck. Steijntje's father was Nanning Anthoniszn van Vark and her mother was Steijntje Woutersdr Dijck.  Her paternal grandparents were Antonie Evertszn van Vark and Grietje Nanningsdr Ouwerkerk; her maternal grandparents were Wouter Janszn van Dijck and Sophia Petersdr de Hoog. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Antonie, Wouter, Sophia, Grietje and Grietje.  She was the youngest of the six children.  She died in 1757 in Almkerk.1
