Jan Willemszn was born in December 1645 in Rotterdam and his baptism took place there on December 3rd, 1645.1   His godfather was Abram Isaackszn and his godmother was Jannetge Heinderickxsdr. Jan Willemszn's father was Willem Michielszn Tangenaer and his mother was Jannetje Danielsdr Bavijer. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Bartolmees Willemszn, Jan Willemszn, Isack Willemszn, Daniël Willemszn, Daniël Willemszn, Jannetge Willemsdr and Aeltge Willemsdr.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died before May 26th, 1647 in Rotterdam.1
