Peter Thomaszn was born in 1628 in Sprang and his baptism took place on September 13th, 1628 in 's Grevelduin-Capelle.1   His godfather was Jan Jans de Jonge. Peter Thomaszn's father was Thomas Peeterszn Rommen and his mother was Grietgen Peetersdr N.N.. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Peeter Thomaszn, Adriaan Thomaszn, Neelken Thomasdr, Ariken Thomasdr, Aeltjen Thomasdr, Lijsken Thomasdr and Maijken Thomasdr.  He was the youngest of the eight children.
