Peeter Thomaszn was born in 1615 in Sprang and his baptism took place there on August 9th, 1615.1  Peeter Thomaszn's father was Thomas Peeterszn Rommen and his mother was Grietgen Peetersdr N.N.. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Adriaan Thomaszn, Peter Thomaszn, Neelken Thomasdr, Ariken Thomasdr, Aeltjen Thomasdr, Lijsken Thomasdr and Maijken Thomasdr.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.
