Janneken was born in December 1651 in Capelle (Noord Brabant) and her baptism took place there on December 24th, 1651.1   Her godmothers were Aentgen Aert Goosens, Aechtien Thonisdr. Janneken's father was Cornelis Janszn Rombouts and her mother was Maijken Thomasdr Rommen.  Her paternal grandfather was Jan Peterszn Rombouts and her paternal grandmother is Ariaentgen Cornelisdr N.N.; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Peeterszn Rommen and Grietgen Peetersdr N.N.. She had a brother and a sister, named Peeter and Adriaentje Cornelisdr.  She was the oldest of the three children.
